This is every horror fan’s dream. From its incredible plot and iconic performances to its brilliant direction and genuinely horrifying scenes, this film will send shivers down your spine and have you watching much of it through your fingers.

Curry Barker has truly done something special with this film. As a young and emerging filmmaker, he has established himself as a creator capable of delivering one of the best horror films of the decade. The way certain shots build suspense, while carefully limiting what the audience can see, creates a constant sense of tension that never allows you to fully relax. You could pull a frame from almost any sequence in this film, and it would rank among the year’s best shots.

Inde Navarrette delivers an eerie and bone chilling performance that feels instantly iconic. With a few more standout horror roles, she could easily cement herself as a modern scream queen.

This film was a truly unforgettable experience and the first time this year that I’ve left the cinema feeling as though I’d watched something I would wholeheartedly recommend. Obsession is a film for the ages, and I can’t wait to see not only what happens next with One Wish Willow, but also what the future holds for everyone involved in this incredible production.

Obsession is another fantastic addition to what is becoming an incredible catalogue of horror films this decade.

The dread and fear I felt throughout this film was insane. It’s rare for a horror movie to make me genuinely uncomfortable, but Obsession managed it with ease. I was completely locked into the story, gripping the side of my chair on more than one occasion

There’s so much to love here The acting is fantastic from everyone the use of shadows and darkness is brilliant, and the film knows exactly how to build and maintain tension. At the same time, it delivers some perfectly placed dark humour that genuinely gets laughs. The balance feels spot on, all while having much more on its mind than just scares. Curry Baker has impressed me you can feel the passion and energy gone into this movie down to the fine details

There is a scene set in a park that scared the absolute life out of me. I haven’t felt that kind of fear since the infamous jump scare in Episode 8 of The Haunting of Hill House.

And then there’s Inde Navarrette.

she is absolutely incredible here. The delivery, the facial expressions, the body language, the movements everything about the performance feels real. It’s unsettling, captivating, and impossible to take your eyes off. Finding out that some of her co stars didn’t know she was going to perform the role that way only makes it even more impressive. There is true talent here and it makes me so happy to see her get all the praise and cant wait to see her next projects

Obsession is extraordinary, outstanding horror filmmaking and one of the most memorable cinema experiences I’ve had in a long time.

Obsession: Nails to the wall absolute cinematic perfection, my mind is racing and going berserk even now. This is the exact kind of stuff we need and want in horror. The atmosphere built up was suffocating, I was horrified at what could happen I had to watch through my fingers. The freedom of exiting the cinema was a massive relief I don’t think I’ve been through this before.
