Don’t Say Good Luck is a really heartfelt coming of age film that surprised me with just how emotional it became.

Sunny Sandler is brilliant throughout and easily the standout of the film, handling both the lighter and more emotional moments really well. The story itself is simple but effective, focusing on growing up, family and dealing with difficult circumstances without ever feeling too overdone.

It can be predictable in places, but the emotion and performances make it work.

Overall, Don’t Say Good Luck is a touching and enjoyable coming of age film with a lot of heart.
