"Give the directing duo any project moving forward!" - Epicz

Goldstein and Daley have made me uncontrollably giddy with another directorial outing. It just seems like everything they can write just hits perfectly. Even in the director’s chair, they create a stylistic piece of buddy comedies I think I’ve been yearning for without even knowing. Give the directing duo any project moving forward!

Kenneth Branagh is incorporated into this comedic, action role against most of his career’s commonality and surprisingly it works. He brings this Russian sweet charm to conflict against the naivety of American culture and antagonistic tone during the 80s that just flows naturally with his character’s journey and the overarching story. Reynolds plays a dimmed down version of his usual shtick that I just feel another actor could have done even more with, playing into the visual comedy as-well as the action set pieces. Perhaps an actor that Daley and Goldstein have worked with before… Chris Pine okay, it’s Chris Pine. Reynolds though keeps up with Branagh and they both make an entertaining pair that I enjoyed watching together.
