Intense from start to finish, there’s a moment in the opening sequence which sets the tone with how dark the rest of the movie will be, and it never lets up. Mixing its action with bleak elements inspires us to root for the nearly unstoppable protagonists as they dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodge into every fight.

The comparisons to The Raid will be popular, you wouldn’t be wrong either, Yayan Ruhian appears in this as one of the antagonists and he’s an absolute menace. From his first time on the screen he radiates pure evil, and from that point on it grows bigger and bigger.

At times it loses its focus with the narrative, adding in elements and characters that feel inferior to the standard it sets itself early on.

If you’re terrible at holding your breath, beware of how elongated some fight sequences can be. Not a bad thing on the contrary, constant glorious fight choreography is a beautiful element in action movies especially within one that lets it play out without being nullified from awful editing.
