A lot of suspense but it just comes undone when they keep showing the cause of it all, the small glimpses of appearance just lets everything they built come down quickly. Along with the predictable story and how it never felt mysterious, it’s quite a disappointment considering the cast attached. I don’t even know what to think of that ending, silly and just sadistically sad.

Adam Scott slowly becoming a scream king with all of these thriller/horror movies, and he puts in a decent performance in this one too. De Niro phones in his work, but him phoning it in is still a lot better than most actors who would be in the same role.

The editing is shoddy at times that ruins the flow of the sequences intended to drastically escalate the thriller genre aspects but just achieves the opposite. For a Netflix film, can’t say I’m surprised considering its previous outings in the genre even from movies released this year. Maybe there will be some fans, especially who’ve read the book, but can’t say this has left an impact on me.
